This month I'm surprised by the common ground I find with the Catholic Church, dismayed at the world "moving on," and moved to joy and tears by songs about beavers and war.
Welcome friends! This month feels more harried than usual. That means it's just like all the rest, really. Sometimes I wonder if this anxiety ratchet has a limit before it stops cranking or the strap breaks, sending metal shards flying into my eyes.
I've yet to find the limit of my ability to absorb stress these past 21 years in Corporate America, but I've gotten close a few times.
