I am now a full time employee of Cisco Systems, Inc. This has sort of been a dream of mine for the past few years now, and it finally came true.
I was working at Lulu for a while, and I really enjoyed the job, the people, and the business the company was in.
I had to make a very hard choice between the two companies, and went with Cisco. There are plenty of reason’s, but still the choice wasn’t easy. It’s hard to work somewhere for 5 or 6 weeks, get to know everyone, and then tell them you’re leaving them for someone else.
It really reminds me of when i was seeing Kristin, and then I randomly met Sonya. I told Kristin I met a girl, and that she was awesome. Kristin and I weren’t official, we were more like friends, and I don’t know exactly what I was thinking. I wanted her to be happy for me, but I didn’t know why I should expect that. I had basically just told her that: “I found someone better than you. Goodbye.”
I feel like I did that to Lulu, and it’s completely not the case. I’m going to be buried with guilt for a little while, but I’m sure I’ll get over it soon.
So, to anyone who reads this at Lulu: I’ll miss everyone there. It’s too bad I can’t work two jobs at the same time.
To everyone who works at Cisco who reads this (which is probably like 10 people or so maybe): I’m looking forward to working with you, but more importantly, I’m looking forward to goofing around.
Hopefully my next post will have pictures of NC and my new place. W00t.
