I did a little bit of rearranging in the server closet this past weekend. I formatted my main Linux server and put Windows XP on it so I could play more games. I decided I needed some form of diversion.
World of Warcraft has been great lately. I’ve spent a lot of time playing that game, and I need to spend more playing it. I also need to finish my degree, so these two things will have to balance each other out.
I put the website on my Mac G3. If it seems to run a little slower loading the main php gallery page, that’s why.
In the transition I managed to delete my entire home directory. That was awesome. I lost all of my work, and all my grades for the students I’m teaching this quarter. Seriously, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m an idiot.
If the webpage seems to not fully work, you now know why. My awstats page is still broken, and I might not get around to fixing it for a while, but we’ll see about all of that.

In non computer related news, I’m looking to get a motorcycle. I really like the Yamaha FZ6, and the Suzuki SV650 isn’t a bad looking bike. I’m looking for something a little less supersport, and a little more classic / naked. It’ll be my first street bike, so I don’t know if I want to overdo it on power, but at the same time I don’t want to feel left behind when I get more confident in riding.
I’m thinking about getting a used bike, so that I wont be so committed to it, but a brand new shiny FZ6 is really tempting. Go to the yamaha site and check them out. They’re wicked hot.

I’ve been having the worst dreams lately. I’ve been waking up in an abolute panic and horror. It’s really cool how awful these dreams make me feel. Like someone reached into my soul and ripped out everything I ever cared about and pissed all over it. What a feeling to wake up to.
I attribute it to my diet lately. Every night before bed I have this combination in some form or another:
- Beer
- Potatoes
- Cheese
- Bacon
