What a long and fun filled weekend.
There was drinking at East Village. We ordered 20 shots at one time.
Bathing suit competition on Friday.
There was Rum Runners on Friday night.
Beach on Saturday for more bathing suit competitions. I don't know who won. I think in the end I was the real winner here....
Sunday dinner involved Garbage Plates.. awesomeness.
I have pictures of all of these things.. but they won't be posted until tomorrow since I left my camera at Lauren's.. whoops.
I'll post them when I get a chance.

I just started testing out the new Joost beta. GigaOM was giving out invites like mad so I decided to see what it was like.
I can watch Aqua Teen and other Comedy Central shows, National Geographic, and my favorite on there so far... Fifth Gear. Absolutely awesome!
The service itself seems pretty cool. Video quality is decent on my somewhat oldish PC with a 20" wide screen monitor. In windowed mode the quality is excellent.
The bandwidth used is around 90kB/s or about 700kb/s depending on how you like your numbers.
On my current cable modem I've seen download speed of around 600kB/s so I figure I've got room to have a few people in the house all watching at the same time.
I'm going to keep watching and let you know how it all works out.
If you want an invite to check it out just drop me a line.

The Beta for Pidgin (new GAIM) was released just the other day.

I'm excited to see how this all works out.
In other unrelated news I'm seriously considering the purchase of a Jeep YJ or TJ. It'd be fun to have a project vehicle.

I was driving into work this morning and a thought popped into my head.
I'd enjoy being in a long distance relationship again just so I could listen to "Radar Love" on the way to see my girl.
Such a damn good driving song.
------
When I get lonely, and I'm sure I've had enough
She sends her comfort, comin' in from above
Don't need no radio at all
We've got a thing that's called radar love
We've got a line in the sky, radar love
No more speed, I'm almost there
Gotta keep cool now, gotta take care
Last car to pass, here I go
And the line of cars drove down real slow
And the radio played that forgotten song
Brenda Lee's "Coming on Strong"
And the newsman sang his same song
One more radar lover's gone
------
Man I love driving.
