There was a party, it was awesome. Everyone was there.

Pirates vs Ninjas

Jason came down to visit with his girl Ashley. It was the best time I’ve had in a while. Interesting and memorable events unfolded as always.

Since the party I bought a GPS for my motorcycle and have been thinking about that *Touring NC* goal. It’s within reach. I am looking at buying a taller windscreen and a more comfy seat to hook my bike up for longer rides.

I also had an interesting realization about girls, or at least what I’m looking for.

I would not classify myself as a happy person. If left to my own devices by myself I would pursue interesting activities, and I would be immersed in them completely. I would have intense focus.

I would be content.

I realize I will fall for pretty much any girl who I smile around. This is my tell tale weakness. If I am involved in a conversation with a girl and there is laughing, smiling, and me being happy, I am pretty much done for. This satisfies almost all of my requirements. It is a completely different sort of contentment. The positive interaction with a person (especially of the opposite sex) fulfills something I didn’t even know I needed. Now going without is painful.

It is this social interaction and sharing that moves me from a content person to a happy person. There is a line that is crossed where I go from full, to overflowing

For now I will focus on non-people activities, but watch for me to smile.. You’ll be able to tell when something is up ;)

Nissan 350Z

I was in Florida this past week, and we were driving around my step-father’s H2 cruising around looking for an Infiniti, Porsche or Nissan dealership. The first dealership we came across was the Nissan dealership. I made Cal (my stepdad) stop immediately. Outside the place they had 3 350Zs lined up. On the end they had this gorgeous blue convertible.

The salesman asks if I want to take it for a drive. I grin like an idiot. This is all the response he needed. The first thing I noticed when I started the car was the noise the engine made as it raored to life. The idle was fast at first and then settled down to a sort of deep roar. Not a rumble like a big V8, but more of a constant, reassuring powerful feeling.

I pulled slowly out of the spot and onto the road. I just tapped the gas around the corner and we took off careening towards the intersection. Damn was this car fast out of the gate.

We pulled up to the local gas station where the salesman pointed out Heather. She worked at the dealership too, and was gasing up a minivan that they use to shuttle people around. Anyway, Heather is amazingly gorgeous, much like all the other Heather’s I know. She makes a few comments about how awesome the car is, and how Aaron (the salesman) should take me back behind the airport for some high speed cornering tests. We run the car behind the airport and I whip it around the corners and see sort of what the car is made out of. I pull back to the dealership, and they try to talk me into buying the car. It was decided that to really see the handling ability of the car the other salesman Rick should take me out for a ride.

I hop in the passenger seat and buckle up. Rick says “You should buy this car, but not this car, cause we’re about to fuck this one up.” I was pretty excited about it, since they had the cars identical twin sitting in the show room all waxed and polished, while we took this one out and beat the living piss out of it. We tested the 0-60 time. We tested the 100-0 stopping time and distance. We tested donuts without the traction control. We assured ourseves of the fact that you cannot do donuts with the traction control on. Then we turned the traction control off again and blew more donuts and slid the ass end around some fast corners. All I could smell was brakes, rubber, and awesomeness. I think I pretty much decided I wanted to buy the car after seeing it blow donuts and whip the ass end around, and then executing a .5 second lane change at 100mph. All with the top down. How fucking fun is that.

So now I’m the proud owner of a Nissan 350Z convertible. Daytona Blue. I went with the auto, because it was the only option they had at the dealership, and it was still all the power I would ever need, and came with a manual sequential shift option. The Standard rates at 300 HP, and the Auto at 287 HP. ::shrug:: 287 HP is a lot of fucking horsepower.

I bought the car after talking numbers for a long time and signing countless pieces of paper. I drove it from Florida to NC. It was the best 8 hours I’ve ever spent in a car. Such a great ride, fast when I wanted it. As comfortable as you could possibly imagine, and guranteed to grab looks from all the people you pass. The Xenon headlights were pretty cool while driving at night. I’m sure I pissed plenty of people off, but I can see off into the distance like crazy.

Unfortunately after 8 hours alone in a small space with a Bose soundsystem and subwoofer behind my seat, my ears are still ringing a little bit, but I’m sure I’ll get over that pretty damn soon.

Final verdict: This car is fucking awesome.

Yamaha FZ6 – My Baby

I got my bike on Tuesday this week and I’ve been so busy riding it that I haven’t had a chance to post about it. I’ve put on about 223 miles so far. It’s probably the coolest thing I’ve ever owned. Nothing I’ve ever had my hands on even comes close to this.

I’ve been putting around Rochester a little bit with it, and I took a trip back home. The best part has been red lights. I pray for the light to be red when I get there. It gives me another chance to see what my 0-60 time can be. I’m just amazed at how fast this bike can go, and how much power it has even in the lower end of the tachometer.

I’m supposed to keep the rpms under 7000 for the first 600 miles. 7000rpm in 6th gear makes for a speed of about 83mph. Give or take 5mph. It has 5000rpm left on the tach that I can’t even use until I burn off another 800 miles of road. I’m itching to get them out of the way as fast as I can. I’ve been calling old friends, and trying to find people to visit for no other reason than enjoying the weather and getting some miles on my bike.

83 is pretty fast. (especially when inches from the pavement) Something strictly reserved to straight roads with no traffic, and absolutely no animals, debris, or last but not least law enforcement. Now, I don’t plan to race around like that too much, because it’s illegal, and not the safest thing in the world. If I could find a way to get some track time in. Or some closed course riding.. that would be awesome.

I bought a sweet helmet to go with the bike that’s DOT and SNELL approved for those of you concerned with the safety and security of my brain. I also bought an interchangeable visor with it. I can go between clear for night time, and mirror tint blue for day time. The mirror tint is awesome.

I’m still in the market for a riding jacket, but will probably settle on blue and black joe rocket leather jacket. They look awesome, and have more protective armor than you can shake a stick at. After that I need to invest into some boots that’ll protect my ankles and all of that good stuff. My brown leather shoes have been collecting bugs these past few days, along with everything else attached to me. Bug collecting is like a fun sport. You see how big of a bug you can hit. The big juicy ones can leave patches on your helmet or windshield that are a few inches long. It also looks cool to see one hit your visor right in front of your eyes at 65mph. Talk about awesome.

Without further ado, here are some pics of the bike parked in my apartment complex.

nice ass

223 miles. just a baby.

I’m still trying to get some pics with me on it, and then pictures of hot girls on the bike. 5 dollars to the first hot girl who will pose on my bike. topless. ;) or whatever.
